Strategic Offshoring

We offer various global engagement models leveraging worldwide sourcing of skilled managers and engineers, and the cost arbitrages of offshore operations, through Offshore Development Centers (ODCs) for each client. We collaborate on each engagement as an extended arm to your own development organization.

For ISVs, a dedicated ODC has its own deliverables, protocols, schedules, security and infrastructure. We provide the same discipline and commitment to your product development programs, as though your own team was running them.

Our engagement models account for all the possible pros and cons of strategic offshore outsourcing. We customize our well-established Global Service Delivery Model, to enable the maximum flexibility in a solution that suits each outsourcing/ co-sourcing requirement. Each option has trade-offs between ownership (control), cost and setup time.

Offshore Projects
  • Individual projects with specific start and end dates.
  • We offer both fixed price and managed time and material (T&M) effort-based projects.
  • Minimum fixed resource commitment. Resources can be ramped up and down over and above minimum commitment at a short notice.
ODC managed by PSI Data Systems
  • Lowest setup time.
  • PSI Data Systems owns delivery responsibility.
  • Your departments like marketing, products and sales interact closely with our offshore team for requirements, changes, etc to develop the products according to your needs.
  • This model suits startup ISVs or new product developments.
ODC managed by client
  • The ODC works seamlessly as an extension to your onshore team.
  • The client controls the offshore team directly and owns responsibility for product delivery.
  • We provide infrastructure, recruitment, dedicated personnel and local support.
  • This model often suits established software product companies, allowing them to retain critical control over existing product development, version releases, etc.
Build-Operate-Transfer models
  • Under these models, an ODC can be planned to be gradually transferred to the client following the Build-Operate-Transfer strategy.
  • Normally, the Managed ODCs have the option at a given time to convert into a joint venture (JV) or fully-owned subsidiary.
  • This works for companies who want their own offshore operation, but have constraints getting there.
  • Thus, we manage the initial setup, infrastructure, recruitment and basic processes for you in the Build and Operate phases.
