Mitr Swasthya in association with Rotary Blood Bank ran a Blood Donation Camp at the Embassy Golf Links campus. Where PSI’s Corporate Office is located in Bangalore, this campus is also home to several other tech companies – and employs thousands of knowledge workers.
Have a Heart Fund: PSIans are mobilizing a collection to support surgical treatment of children with congenital heart disease.
Mitr Shiksha organized notebooks for a slum balwadi school in nearby Vivek Nagar, a multi-community residential locality. A room in a small flat is converted into this school, also doubling up as the living quarters of the teacher. This bridge school caters to about 50 pre-school children. PSI Mitr members also contributed chocolates, biscuits and juices for the children.
Supporting Fame India, a not-for-profit rehabilitation center for children from economically backward families with neuro-muscular and developmental disabilities. Mitr Sneha planned a painting event where our volunteers spent time helping children while they painted. These paintings were printed as greeting cards to raise money for Fame India. Mitr Sneha also plans to use the original paintings to raise more funds for the center. |
